Guided Scripture Supplemental Videos
Supplemental, or secondary, videos in Guided Scripture come in a wide variety of applications.
Parameters
Supplemental videos are most often between 15 seconds to a minute long and should satisfy the same audio/visual quality requirements as a standard teaching clip, but exceptions can be made in some instances (a horizontal video series trailer, for instance, or a full song).
Content
A supplemental video clip may promote a piece of content or a feature of the app like a partner page. It may be a continuation of the teaching, or it might be a recreation of a biblical passage. Sometimes, it's a performance of a hymn or worship song or a trailer for longer-form video content. On occasion, multiple supplemental video clips have broken up a larger experience into digestible chunks.
Share Your Faith Videos
We also invite Guided Scripture partners to create videos specifically designed to be a call to action, challenging or encouraging a user to share their faith in a variety of ways.
Share Your Faith videos should stand on their own (apart from the Verse of the Day teaching) and motivate a user to consider a way to share their faith in the real world. They could:
- Challenge a user to take a direct action, like interacting with a stranger or praying for opportunities to testify.
- Encourage a mindset that’s conducive to sharing faith (when someone is full of God, He tends to be the first thing that comes out of them).
- Instruct a person on practical ways to share their faith.
- Offer testimonials, like a life-change story from someone who shared their faith or someone whose life was changed as a result of another person’s courage.
- Promote a Bible App feature, like shared prayers or Bible Plans with Friends, that encourages faith-based community.
