How to Find an Event in the Bible App

The Events feature in the YouVersion Bible App makes it easy to connect with church events you're attending, and to discover other churches and special events happening near you. Whether you know exactly what you're looking for or you're just exploring what's nearby, here are all the ways to find an Event.

🚨 The Bible App uses your device's location services to show you Events happening nearby. Before searching for an Event, go to your device settings and make sure location services are enabled for the Bible App.
Where to Find Events in the App
  1. Select the You tab on the bottom menu.
  2. Select the three lines in the top right corner.
  3. Select Events.
  4. Enter the name of the Event you're looking for.
Set Your Church for Instant Access to Events

With the latest update, finding events is even easier when you set a church as your church in the Bible App. Once your church is set, you'll automatically see events without having to search:

  1. Church page history: Your church's in-app page will display its past 10 events, so you can revisit or catch up on anything you missed.
  2. Lock screen countdown: Upcoming events will appear right on your lock screen with a live countdown until the service starts.
  3. Home page spotlight: Your church's upcoming event will show at the top of your home page, so it's the first thing you see when you open the app.
➡️ This means once your church is set, you won't need to manually search for its events — they'll surface automatically across the app.

Find an Event You've Already Saved
To save an event for later, open it and tap the bookmark icon in the top right — do this before the event ends, since ended events no longer appear in search.

If you've bookmarked an event before, you can find it again under your saved items:

  1. Select the You tab on the bottom menu.
  2. Tap Saved.
  3. Select Events.
  4. Choose the event from your list of saved events.
